I have a Bachelors degree from the University of St. Thomas in Computer and Information Science. I also have a minor in Communications and Journalism. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 3.7 GPA. I graduated from O'Gorman High School with a 4.0 GPA taking multiple AP classes. I also earned a 32 on the ACT.
Experience
I have tutored one student, a freshman in high school, in Advanced Geometry mainly, but occasionally helped her with other subjects. A lot of my focus was on helping her with time management and organization skills. I also have experience being a computer science tutor, helping students understand the introductory programming concepts and homework, with a focus on Java programming language. Being a tutor to me means teaching a student how to teach themselves. I think any student can succeed when they learn some basic concepts in organization, time management, breaking down problems, and prioritizing tasks. My hope is that after a few semesters with me my students won't need me anymore! They will be equipped with the skills they need to succeed on their own.

Hobbies
Other interests I have include anything outdoors - hiking, biking, camping, running. I also love doing arts and crafts. I love trying new things whether it be a dance class or a new bike trail to try. I am currently trying to learn how to become a better cook!
