I am an experienced tutor who specializes in mathematics and science subjects. I've worked with students on an individual basis, as well as taught groups of approximately five students during tutoring sessions. I teach elementary math, arithmetic, algebra, geometry, precalculus, and calculus. Some science topics I teach include general chemistry and organic chemistry. I completed my undergraduate degree program in biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin River Falls. I gained experience as a tutor while earning my degree and have a strong affinity for math and chemistry. As a tutor, I prefer to learn about each individual student's style of learning and academic areas of weakness to set a customized lesson plan and goals. I am not the type of tutor who teaches every student using the same techniques. Instead, I try to utilize methods that make it easier for each student to learn and retain challenging material. I love to stay active and enjoy snowboarding, jiu-jitsu, hiking, and astronomy.
