I'm a tutor who is based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, where I enjoy playing sports, running, and cooking when I'm not in the classroom working with students. I have my bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of North Dakota, as well as my master's degree in special education from Concordia University-Saint Paul. As a tutor, I'm able to help students in a variety of subject areas. Some of the lessons I've taught in the past have been in writing, math, standardized test preparation, and reading, amongst other things. I'm extremely passionate about learning, which is what got me interested in becoming a tutor. I've taught middle school math for seven years, which has given me the opportunity to work with a diverse range of students. I've also spent time working in special education, focusing mainly on teaching math to students with learning disabilities. I enjoy building relationships with my students to ensure that I take their needs into account when developing my lesson plan. I know that every student can master any subject they put their mind to. I see my role as a tutor as being responsible for providing the guidance my students need to reach their educational goals.
